How long is a reiki session?
Reiki sessions are 1 hour in length.
When is a good time to have a session?
Reiki sessions are beneficial during times of stress and when you anticipate that you will be in a stressful situation, however; they are wonderful anytime as they help to provide balance and calm.
How will I feel when I finish a session?
After a session you will feel incredibly relaxed and calm. As if a weight was lifted from your body
What should I wear?
It is important to be physically comfortable during a session. Loose clothing is best worn during a session.
What are the benefits of Reiki?
The benefits of Reiki include feelings of peace and calm. Clarity of mind a another benefit of Reiki. There are those who speak during a session and those who don't. Whether problems are worked out while conversing with me or keeping an inner dialogue personal issues are addressed leading to clearer thinking. It is possible to feel dizzy after a session. I always have my clients drink water before getting off the table to help them ground.
Is there any risk?
There are absolutely no risks to having a Reiki session.
How do your hands get hot?
The reason my hands get hot during a Reiki session is because energy begins to flow throughout my body and directly to my hands.
How do you know where to put your hands?
While the client is lying on the table, I do a body scan with a pendulum. I begin at the top of the head and end at their feet. At certain parts of the body, the pendulum moves on its own, literally guiding me to where there is a problem. For instance, if there is a lot of movement in the area of the solar plexus (mid section of the body), I know the client is dealing with issues of self-esteem which can manifest in many ways. I will then begin working on that area of the body before going to other parts of the body for balance.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki is energy. We all have energy for that is what we are made of. This energy needs to flow throughout your body in order for you to feel balanced. When energy does not flow properly, we don't feel balanced. We feel out of sorts and not ourselves. Reiki works to keep us in balance and to remove feelings of stress and anxiety, something that so many of us struggle with.
How often should I have a Reiki session?
The frequency of attending to a Reiki session is completely up to the individual for it all depends on what the client is going through in their life. For those in crisis it is recommended to come weekly. For those wanting balance, monthly sessions are recommended although there are clients currently under my care who come for their weekly check ups!
How long have you been doing this?
I have been a Reiki Master Practitioner for 15 years.
How did you get into energy healing?
I have always been both sympathetic and empathetic to the emotional pain of others. Both friends and acquaintances would easily open up to me and share their problems and upsets. Without giving it a name, I knew that the way I was a help and support was more than as just a friend who was a good listener. To discover the path I was on, I went to a Tarot reader for clarification of how I should continue. The reader asked me if I wanted to do Reiki. That was it! My method of helping now had a name. It was then that I began to study Reiki under another Master practitioner until I became one myself.
Where did you learn how to do energy healing?
My formal training of Reiki to be a Master practitioner was with Suzanne Roth, a Reiki Master practitioner herself. She not only trained me but gave me the attunements so that I could practice.
